Hello there, busy bees, wandering eyes and wizards in the making!

Welcome to my blog.  This blog is an unusual one in the sense that you won’t be reading about my (fairly bland) regular life but rather following me on an adventure…a spooky adventure.

If, like me, your favourite films growing up were things like GhostBusters, Witches, and Labyrinth, then you might understand where I am coming from.  Or, perhaps you were more intrigued by the literary works of H.P. Lovecraft or Mr Poe.  Or maybe you had a soft spot for chilling television shows (my childhood guilty pleasures were Are You Afraid of the Dark and Goosebumps).

These works unraveled a world of mystery, supernatural and magic.  Few individuals are so bold to explore such concepts, except for in the safety of our own homes with a cup of tea and a fuzzy blanket. There is something about this world of witches and wizards, potions and rituals, spells and séances that captures our imaginations.

So, I am going to go find out what all of this is about.

There will be regular updates regarding occult books, lectures, theories, practices, tours, haunted hot spots, and even spells.

There is one small problem.  I’m a skeptic.  Well, ok, I don’t really go around calling myself a skeptic, but I don’t really believe in any of this stuff.  I find it very difficult to look someone dead in the eye and talk about…er…what exactly is that they talk about?  Potions?  Chants?  Well.  This is what this is all about.  Discovery!

I prefer to leave my real name out of this, so I spent some time (read: 5 minutes) looking into aliases.  I discovered an online generator that provided me with my Fairy name, because fairies have something to do with the occult.  Right?

You may refer to me as THORN GOBLINFLY!

Your fairy is called Thorn Goblinfly.  She is a bringer of riches and wealth.  She lives in brambles and blackberry bushes.  She is only seen at midday under a quiet, cloudless sky.  She wears purple and green like berries and leaves. She has gentle green wings like a butterfly.

I do love blackberries and the colour green.  Touché, internet fairy name generator, touché.

In you prefer, you can also call me by my street name, T-FLY.

In the meantime, feel free to let me know YOUR thoughts on the occult or send me hate mail.

Best to you,
